The data travels through the electrical installation

PLC communication takes advantage of existing electrical wiring to carry measurements, door status and alarms to the FredAlarm gateway. It allows you to connect cold rooms in basements and other hard-to-access points without laying a new communications cable.

Mesh network with hop communication

Teams can forward messages from other nodes to reach the gateway using intermediate hops. The network discovers and maintains communication routes, so that each point does not need to have a direct link to the gateway.

Adaptation to channel conditions, message checking, and retry mechanisms help maintain communication when electrical loads change or noise appears in the facility.

Also between phases

It can communicate equipment connected to different phases of the same electrical installation, depending on the wiring and network conditions. This expands the possibilities of connecting cold rooms and areas distributed throughout the building, taking advantage of the existing infrastructure.

The 105 dB buzzer warns when the door remains open for longer than the configured time. The delay is programmable to adapt it to the work of the cold room.

The equipment monitors the temperature, the door and the alarms. It does not regulate the cooling or modify the controller setpoint.
