Modbus RTU over RS-485

The gateway brings together information from several monitors on an RS-485 bus. Each device has an address and is consulted individually to obtain its measurements, statuses and alarms.

Using an open protocol makes it easy to integrate compatible equipment and take advantage of existing wired installations. The gateway links this network with FredAlarm to centralize supervision, without the operator having to check each cold room separately.

An integration for installation

The network is configured according to the monitoring points and connected equipment. It is an appropriate solution when you have a dedicated bus and want to combine local supervision with platform information.

From the local network to the cloud

The gateway integrates the network of equipment on the route to the platform. Sending to the cloud uses MQTT and an encrypted connection, using TLS or VPN depending on the gateway. The client consults the information using HTTPS.
